The Dragon Isles are the least explored continental system of Aegis. This is due to very powerful oceanic currents and hostile border environs. The Dragon Isles are my version of the Eberron Campaign setting. While it will follow the basic premise it will undoubtedly be customized to the Aegis world. As with this setting, Dragon Marks are found here, and will remain here and not necessarily into the rest of the campaign world.
The lands of the setting are Aernal, Argonessa, Khorvaire, Sarlona and Xen’Drix. They are in different positions from the original setting due to the nature of how the Aegis setting works.
Aernal: Home of the Elves and the Undying Court. These elves are secretive and mysterious and do not deal with intruders kindly. They have an outpost land on the mainland of Khorviare where they receive diplomatic envoys.
Khorvaire: Home of the 5 Nations of Galifar and its Civil War. This setting will follow the basic premise and outline of the Eberron setting with alterations as needed. The 5 Nations are: the Human nations of Thrane, Breland, Aundair, Breyland, Cyre, Karrnath and Thrane.
Argonessa: Argonessa is the land of Dragons. This is the land where the draconic council meets every century to discuss the prophecy. Tribal Barbarians live here worshipping their “gods” and are servants to the dragon’s disciples & kin. Outsiders are not tolerated here and will be killed, and all traces of them destroyed.
Sarlona: Sarlona is the land of Psionics, mind magics and a mysticism centered around a attaining “A State of Clear”. Where the mind and emotions are free of… Everything. An interesting Philosophy if nothing else. This land does boast very powerful mind magicks, and this Mystic religion has spread and conquered the entire continent in a matter of a few hundred years.
The land is ruled by powerful mystics who erect amazing structures of sacred geometric designs that baffle the untrained mind. If they ever decide to expand off of their continent they will be a powerful force to contend with.
Xen’Drix: The jungle lands of Xen’Drix is a continent of ruins, powerful magicks, fortune seekers and those who wish never to be found. Storm Reach is the only city on this hot and humid land. Run by powerful outlaws, crime syndicates and wayward nobles, all seeking to recover the relics of a once powerful land.
Drow and Giants roam and guard the land, it’s ruins and secrets. For every 50 adventures that delve into the interior, only a handful may return and often times with nothing to show for it.
