I have been playing pen and paper RPGs going on about 30+ years now – from the original D&D boxes sets right on up to Pathfinder. D&D has always seemed to find its way into my life. Whether as a needed escape from the day to day grind, as a way to hang out and be a kid with friends, or as a tinderbox to spark my creative fires I don’t think I would ever want to be without some sort of gaming in my life.
I’ve also tried my hand at a variety of other genres and systems including Cyberpunk, G.U.R.P.S, Vampire the Masquerade, MMORPGs and even Live Action Role Plays (Yes I’m comfortable with that!)
In the really real world I am most concerned with working to bring about an environmentally sustainable, spiritually fulfilling, socially just human presence on this planet. I work with and pursue movements such as The Awakening the Dreamer Changing the Dream symposium, Gross National Happiness, and Time Banks as way to facilitate this change. I honestly believe we should be the change we want to see in the world.
I am also working actively – along with my wife, father-in-law and his partner to created an intentional community built around the above principles.

Attended a forum on the Gross Happiness Index with Sara tonight in Montpelier. Pretty cool stuff and it seems many governments – local and otherwise – are starting to take notice.

Grimmulak I spoke w/a dairy farmer today who lost 10 of his cows due to -8 degree weather, had his buildings destroyed by flood, and is now dealing with severe drought.
This is me not complaining about my life anymore. =(
